The Minister of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Saudi Exports Development Authority, expressed hopes that the Authority through its participation in the exhibition would achieve success and excellence and show the quality of the Saudi product.

On his part, Mr. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Hakbani, Secretary General of the Saudi Exports Development Authority, explained that Authority aims through its first foreign participation in international exhibitions at the "Big 5" Dubai 2013, to highlight the quality and competitiveness of the Saudi products among their counterparts from the various participating countries. He  also expressed hope that the Authority's efforts and activities be reflected in the real added value for the Saudi manufacturers, which in turn will reflect positively on the national economy in general.

Al-Hakbani indicated that the Authority is still in the initial foundational stage, which includes setting up the administrative and financial bylaws, and building strategies for the next five years. This is a prelude to building its appropriate organizational structure and attracting Saudi talents that are capable of achieving the Authority's goals and aspirations of the private sector.

It is worth noting that participants from the Saudi private sector in the exhibition number more than 60 factories and companies. The Authority has also completed last Wednesday, November 20, 2013, in Istanbul- Turkey, the activities of Saudi Dates Exporter Forum, organized in cooperation with the Saudi Trade Mission and the National Center for Palm and Dates, in the presence of the Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq Fuzan Al-Rubi'a, Chairman of the Authority. The forum organized as part of the Authority's strategic plan to increase non-oil exports and the introduction of Turkish companies about the import opportunities is a great success. The economic community is looking forward to continuing holding such conferences and forums for Saudi products to establish their competitiveness and help them access global markets and benefit from the strong support by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - May God protect him - to encourage the Saudi industrial sectors.
