Maldives, a Promising Business Venue for "SAUDI EXPORTS"

Events of the first trade mission to the Republic of Maldives start in Mali city today. The trade mission comprises 19 national companies sponsored by the Saudi Arabian Airlines, on the first commercial flight to the Maldivian capital. The events include business-to-business meetings between national companies and a number of Maldivian businessmen, to implement the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' vision, king Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud -May Allah Protect him- to develop relations between the two countries towards a more comprehensive business relationship in support of the private sector in both countries.

The Saudi Exports Development Authority "SAUDI EXPORTS" the organizer of the trade mission's events in the Republic of Maldives, had completed registration procedures of the national companies included in the trade mission, representing several sectors, including petrochemicals, construction materials, food products, electrical equipment, textiles and precious metals. This registration is one of the most important services provided by "SAUDI EXPORTS" to its' Saudi companies customers, as part of its efforts aimed to promoting Saudi products to international corporations to achieve better access of the national products to those markets. The "SAUDI EXPORTS" organizes business-to-business meetings between Saudi exporters, on one hand, and potential buyers in the Republic of Maldives, on the other hand, with a view to create unique opportunities for Saudi products, and achieve a wider openness to the international markets.

The Authority hopes that its efforts and activities will be an added value to the Saudi manufacturers in a way that will positively impact the national economy in general and growth of national companies in particular through stimulating these companies and enabling them to develop their business in international markets and making use of the available opportunities. It intends to do so through training workshops offered throughout the year, or through participation in specialized international fairs organized by the "SAUDI EXPORTS" in many sectors, in addition to bilateral meetings and forums.
